Recently the Michigan Solar Car team earned 3rd place in an international competition. This is obviously a great accomplishment but also not a surprise, since we are the leaders and the best. Although we take so much pride in our solar car team, the university has been under a lot of scrutinies over their lack of recognition of how much fossil fuels they use. I know that the university has been trying to implement compost bins in housing facilities, but it is more than just that. What initiatives should the school be taking?
