Today, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey made the decision to keep political advertisements off its platform. This comes in the wake of a lot of attention on Facebook allowing for these advertisements to be put all over the social media network. The idea behind it was to allow for political messages to be seen by those who have earned a following rather than bought by politicians. This definitely raises some questions. Does this have to do with Twitter's progressive lean as President Trump has attacked their treatment of him repeatedly? Or does this level the playing field for all candidates?
