Town hall meeting with Jason Frenzel of the Huron River Watershed Council (Tuesday, 10/3, 5:30-6:30 pm in 1322 School of ED)

Oct 03 2017, 5:30pm - 6:30pm EDT

Jason Frenzel of the Huron River Watershed Council will lead a discussion about "Environmental activism & civic engagement."

Here are the guidelines for participating in a Town Hall Meeting:

● You are expected to do the reading and come to the meeting with a question (inspired by the reading) written on a paper or index card that you’ll hand in before the meeting starts. Make sure that you keep a second copy of the question in case you’re asked by a faculty member or topic coordinator to pose your question to the speaker.

● Out of respect for our speakers, laptops must be closed during town hall presentations.

● Readings: In preparation for this Town Hall, please explore the Huron River Watershed Council website (hrwc.org): including reading at least:

  • The "About Us" page
  • At least two articles from the "Smart Growth Publications" section. (For the longer reports, you may skim the technical parts and focus on the summary and discussion sections.)
  • Some of the recent "News to us" news items.
