TikTok is a very popular app that many kids and teens use all day long—I have used this app myself. A seven-year-old company in Beijing called ByteDance runs this application. TikTok is now one of the world’s largest networks, which is influencing American companies to push back—especially Mark Zuckerberg in regard to Facebook. The article states “this is an unfortunate attempt by Mark Zuckerberg to redirect scrutiny onto a competitor that he’s failed to copy.”
“Over the past 12 months, TikTok’s app has been downloaded more than 750 million times, compared with 715 million for Facebook, 450 million for Instagram, 300 million for YouTube and 275 million for Snapchat, according to the research firm Sensor Tower.”
