Recently, Michigan has been at the center of attention in relation to its close relationship with potential self-driving cars. According to this article, Waymo plans to build self-driving cars and establish them in Michigan. On the pro, this could be a very cool idea to implement into the state and the article mentions how it creates a lot of jobs for Waymo.
On the other hand, self-driving cars are a bit concerning. They take the jobs off taxi/rideshare drivers and they are completely ran by computers. This concerns me as another driver on the road and potential pedestrian.
What do you guys think of self driving cars? Should they be legal? Are they safe? How will they impact the job market?
