Currently in the state of Michigan there isn't a same-day voter registration law in place. Many people have showed resistance to this because they believe this is a way for Michigan to deny more people of their voting rights. Other states such as Wisconsin and Illinois allow same day voting registration. What does the caucus believe? What are some of the pros and cons to same-day voter registration? With modern technology in place, this may not be a costly idea to implement. Permitting same-day voting will certainly increase voter turnout each year. CNN reported that only about 55% of voting age citizens casted ballots in 2016. Allowing people to register at the polls would definitely increase this number and maybe make for more positive election processes. What does the caucus think?
