Hi all,

Recently, Nestle requested the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) to pump out approximately 576,000 gallons daily from the Great Lakes Basin's  White Pine Springs well and this sparked great controversy.

Several public comments were made and here were the results:

  • 80,945 comments were against Nestle's plan to boost the amount of water taken from the state of Michigan.
  • Only 75 comments were made in favor of Nestle's plan.

Ultimately, despite so many public comments against Nestle's request, the MDEQ approved the request.

Are you in favor of the MDEQ's decision to approve the request?

Yes or No?
