New network surveillance taking place in states

 This article discusses new digital online surveillance systems that are taking place across many states. This new surveillance pays special attention to violent posts, such as those made by people who later went on to be school shooters, that may have been avoided if these types of posts were monitored. It shows that in Michigan in particular, the government has paid $71,000 to monitor its online network usage. Do you think this is a good use of our budget?
