Detroit is rated the number 24 city in the country for having the worst traffic congestion. Furthermore, drivers in Detroit spend over 33.5 hours in traffic a year, resulting in over 6% of their time on the road is in traffic. Drivers often have many delays and are often late for important meetings, work, events, etc. because of how much traffic there is.
These numbers are all extremely high and this is definitely an issue that is extremely prevalent in many people’s lives. I would like to ask the caucus what you guys think about this issue and what you guys think should be done. How can Detroit allocate their resources to lower the amount of traffic they have? Are there any laws that other states have implemented that have helped this problem? I am looking forward to hearing all of your responses.
