Bernie's underlying focus for this upcoming election is to solve the shifting gap between the top 1% and the middle class. His devised tax plans that he's created are aimed at solving this inefficiency. On his website he states "in the 1950s, CEOs made 20 times more than their median employees. Last year, the average S&P 500 CEO made 287 times their median worker pay." His goal is to increase corporate tax rates on companies that have CEO pay to worker pay ratio over 50:1. He believes that this will generate over $150 billion in the next 10 years, which can be used to address the wealth equity shift that the US is going through. Do you believe that this will only decentivize companies from operating in the US or is the solution to the drastic inequality between the rich and the poor in the US?
