According to this Pew Research study, 73% of American adults say race and ethnicity should not be considered in college admissions, and only a shocking 7% of all adults say it should be a major factor. I was very interested in the difference in opinion between white adults and black, hispanic, and asian adults on this issue. I was wondering what everyone else thought about this topic. Should admissions officers not take into account race or ethnicity when evaluating applicants? Do you think this would cause a difference in the percentages of each racial group at each school?
